Greenwood AGM
May 25 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

You are cordially invited to attend our upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, May 25th 2025 at 2 pm at the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, 394 Main Road, Hudson, QC J0P 1H0. Please join us to discuss the past year’s achievements and future plans for our organization. Larry Cool, singer/songwriter will welcome all with music.
We will have a very interesting guest speaker/performer, Glenn Patterson, a PhD candidate in ethnomusicology at Memorial University in Newfoundland. Based in Montreal, he is interested in the relationship between grassroots musical culture and community vitality in Quebec’s English-speaking communities. In 2019 and 2020 he developed and managed QAHN’s “A Different Tune: Musical Heritage in English-Speaking Quebec” which researched and celebrated the diverse musical heritage of English-speaking communities across the province. He plays fiddle, accordion, guitar, and banjo. He performs a variety of regional fiddle and accordion music from North America and the British Isles and has recently been discovering the Middle Eastern maqam and Turkish art music.
We will present our first ever Greenwood Centre for Living History award named the Eleanor (Shepherd) Abbey Award, for excellence in volunteerism. We look forward to greeting current members and interested potential new members.
All members at Greenwood may vote at the Annual General Meeting.
