StoryFest 2022: Linda Leith – In Person

October 23, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

$20.00

StoryFest reacquaints with long-time friend/ally Linda Leith at the Hudson Creative Hub to learn more about her in a discussion about her compelling book, The Girl from Dream City: A Literary Life. She claims in the end is not a memoir, but more of an essay… “an attempt at approximating what really happened.”

James M. Fisher of the Miramichi Reader says, “…we are fortunate to have such a person as Linda Leith active in the Montreal and CanLit literary scene.” We at StoryFest are equally delighted to welcome her back to the Hudson Creative Hub, formerly St. Mary’s Church Hall.

Born in Northern Ireland, she attended schools in London, Basel, Belfast, Paris, and Montreal, graduating from the University of London, which granted her a PhD on the work of Samuel Beckett when she was twenty-four. A novelist, essayist, literary translator, and the founder of the Blue Metropolis International Literary Festival and of Linda Leith Publishing, she lives in Montreal.

Tickets are $20.00 each and can be purchased electronically here and are available at Que de Bonnes Choses (484-D Main, Hudson) or at Centre Décor Hudson (521 Main, Hudson) as cash purchases only.

We thank The Hudson War Memorial Library for their sponsorship towards this event.
