DESCRIPTION:Our duo\, (Stew&Alice) started at some jam sessions at a pub near where we both live\, and evolved into what we are now.  I have a background in classical music\, Stewart has played professionally in folk and rock bands for years\, and we both have a background playing Celtic music. She will present her newest book for children\, A Pond\, A Poet\, and Three Pests\, along with related activities at StoryFest for Kids. Her writing awards include three BC Book Prizes\, three CBC Literary Awards\, the Marian Engel Award for mid-career achievement\, and National Magazine Award Gold Medal for Fiction.
